Classic Workstation: Modular Rack — Malaysia

A modular rack is the open-shelving counterpart to the Classic range's cabinets — used where parts need to be seen and reached quickly rather than closed away. The SCC modular rack is built on the same steel frame system as the rest of the Classic workstation range, with a 200kg shelf load rating.

Two footprints are available — W1370xD500xH1780mm and W1300xD500xH1780mm — so the choice comes down to the floor space at the station. As with the other Classic components, the 200kg figure is a uniformly distributed rating across the shelf; a concentrated load, such as a single heavy die or fixture, should be checked against that figure rather than assumed safe.

Training workshops and schools favour open racking of this kind for the same reason production floors do — contents are visible without opening a door, which speeds up both restocking and routine checks.
