The WD-68Q9A is a Tanko steel top workbench — standard, measuring W1824xD775xH810mm, topped in steel. Built in Taiwan by Tanko Enterprise and supplied in Malaysia by Primaxs Marketing.

A steel top takes welding spatter, hot work and direct hammer blows that would destroy a laminate or timber surface, at the cost of being unforgiving to anything dropped on it. Fitted as specified, a perforated back panel puts the tools in reach and off the work surface; the shelf takes the instruments and paperwork that otherwise colonise the bench; integrated sockets stop the extension lead running across the floor, which is the single most common trip hazard on a shop floor; and task lighting removes the shadow that the operator themselves casts over close work.
